Osmo Decking Oil
How much do I need?
Same Day Despatch : Order by 4:30pm Mon-Fri: Delivery & Returns
Osmo Decking Oil is based on natural vegetable oils that absorb deep into the wood. Its modern striking colour is suitable for soft or hardwood decking, garden furniture and all external timber.
New timber will need a period of weathering from 4 weeks to 3 months, depending on species and characteristics. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous coating. If protection from blue stain, rot and insect infestation is required, then pre-treat with WR Base Coat 4006. Should an extra level of anti slip protection be needed then the final coat could be of Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 Clear.
Apply by brush thinly and evenly and allow 10-12 hours to dry. Apply the second coat in the same manner. If applying a coloured oil and a less intense colour is required the second coat could be a clear oil.
Please note that 007 Teak Oil is not pigmented and has no UV filtration. This makes it a good choice if you want your deck to grey naturally but still be protected. It is not specifically for Teak but is of a consistency that makes it particularly suitable for tightly grained tropical hardwoods, such as Teak or Iroko.
