Vulpex Liquid Soap is a safe and extremely versatile cleaning agent that has been used by antique restorers and fine art conservators since it's introduction in 1970.

It has been used with great success on a variety of materials including feathers, costumery, leather, carpets, furniture, oil paintings, armour, precious metals, shell, marble and stone.

It can be used across a wide variety of jobs from small fine art objects to historic buildings.  Vulpex Liquid Soap was used in a 3 year restoration and cleaning project of the marble facade of the New York Public Library.  The Library president at the time commented that "It now gleams like an alabaster palace".

Vulpex Liquid Soap attacks and emulsifies dirt, fats, fatty oils, mineral oils, wax and hydrocarbons quickly and effectively.  The dirt emulsions are very stable and as a  consequence are easily disposable.  Micro fine cracks that can retain dirt receive a deep cleaning action not often achieved by many commercial cleaners.

Vulpex is non-acidic, non-corrosive and germicidal.  It is safe to use and when compared with harsher acid-based cleaners, it does not harm health or property.  After cleaning,  just rinse or wipe the surface with clean water.  It will leave nothing behind that may cause issues in future conservation work.

It is a dense concentrate and will need to be diluted one part Vulpex to six or seven parts cold tap water by volume.  Some jobs, such as removing grime from leather, require Vulpex to be diluted with White Spirit rather than water.  In this instance one part Vulpex to ten to twenty parts White Spirit is usually effective.  A discretionary test is recommended before starting the job to confirm the suitability of Vulpex for that job.

As the product is a highly effective degreasing agent, the use of gloves is recommended.
